About Us

Introduction

Rural youth in India represent a reservoir of untapped potential, often limited not by capability but by access to quality education and skill-building opportunities. Grameen Gurukul is designed to bridge this gap by equipping young people in villages with essential business and entrepreneurial skills.

By conducting short, focused bootcamps in local languages, the program ensures accessibility and cultural relevance, breaking down barriers to learning. These bootcamps cover vital topics such as budgeting, branding, digital payments, and customer service—skills that are crucial in today’s economy but rarely taught in rural settings.

The impact of Grameen Gurukul goes beyond economic empowerment. It nurtures confidence, leadership, and public speaking abilities, helping participants grow personally and professionally. Delivered in schools and community centres, it fosters community ownership and shared growth. By investing in the aspirations of rural youth, Grameen Gurukul helps create a new generation of changemakers who can uplift their communities from within.

Mission Statement

Grameen Gurukul empowers rural youth with essential business skills through accessible, practical education. We believe talent exists in every village, and with the right tools, young people can become self-reliant entrepreneurs and leaders.

Our short bootcamps, delivered in Punjabi and Hindi, cover budgeting, branding, digital payments, and customer service through interactive workshops and video content in schools and community centres. Grameen Gurukul bridges the knowledge gap, fostering learning, confidence, and innovation. We aim to build real-world skills while developing leadership, public speaking, and problem-solving abilities—driving grassroots development from within the community.

How It Works?

Grameen Gurukul partners with local schools, community centers, and village leaders to identify interested youth. Each bootcamp runs over two days and features:

  • Interactive workshops and group activities
  • Hands-on projects and real-life business scenarios
  • Instruction in local languages for maximum accessibility
  • Follow-up resources and ongoing mentorship from our team and alumni volunteers

After the bootcamp, participants receive continued support and guidance as they apply their new skills to start or improve small businesses.
